To attend this session, you MUST be registered for the RTD conference.

Prerequisites for the session: Basic knowledge of microcontrollers or having attended the RTD introduction microcontroller session.

Starting from a base knowledge of the ESP, we will cover several important concepts necessary to create useful and secure IoT devices. Learn how to get the ESP talking to connected sensors and the internet via Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Attendees will have a chance to enter a drawing to win one of several Raspberry Pi 3 B+ boards.

This session has a capacity of 30 people. Once the max capacity is reached, you will be placed on a waiting list. This registration link is exclusively for Missouri S&T students. If you are not affiliated with the university and would like to attend, please email library@mst.edu.

NOTE: In addition to this session, there are two other microcontroller workshops being offered at RTD. Register here: "Raspberry Pi and ESP8266: A beginner's guide to interacting with the world using microcontrollers" and "Creating IoT Devices with the Raspberry Pi."
